About Baritone Jerome Boxer

Exceptional Confidence, Clarity, and Character

Jerome Boxer is a 21-year-old baritone hailing from New York City. He began his vocal studies at the age of nine, guided by Medieval tenor, harpist, and New York University faculty member Christopher Thompson Preston.

In 2016, he joined the prestigious Young People's Chorus of NYC under the direction of Francisco Núñez, where he would sing at the city's finest venues including Carnegie Hall, the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, and Rose Hall at Lincoln Center.

In 2018, Jerome entered the "Fame" School, the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where he studied under Jana Ballard.

After attending the Boston University Tanglewood Institute summer program, Jerome auditioned and successfully got into Boston University's School of Music. He is currently finishing his Bachelors in Music in vocal performance, with continued training from classical vocalist and voiceover artist James Demler.

During his college summers, Jerome has attended the Bel Canto in Tuscany, Vienna Opera Academy, and Opernfest Prague programs, singing across Europe.

He also studied for a semester at the Royal College of Music with Jonathan Lemalu.

Jerome has participated in the BU Opera Institute's productions of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Jules Massenet's Cendrillon, Daniel Catán's Florencia en el Amazonas, and Giacomo Puccini's Gianni Schicchi.
